Her jewelry is handmade using natural gemstone and bead components, artisan custom cut cabochons, and copper, bronze, silver or gold wire along with handmade charms and findings. Her pieces have an elegant blend of traditional and contemporary designs, some delicate, some big and bold. She has been passionate about the arts all her life. Working in many mediums including drawing, painting, photography and graphic design. The love of design and art finally led her to working with metals, gemstones, beads and other mixed media components for jewelry.”I love the spontaneous nature of wire wrapping, I let the wire and gemstones (or mood) speak and guide me into what’s to come and finding the perfect balance in the final creation. Working with wire and metal has been a fascinating and rewarding journey; I have finally found my passion!”

RICH METZGER STUDIOS

As someone with a love of nature and fishing in particular, Rich began carving in 1985, often focusing on nature and the beauty that he saw while pursuig some of his favorite pastimes. Waterfowl and Fish have been the focus of most of his carvings, but there has been an occasional shore bird, eagle and a puffin or two! Fishing had always been a significan part of his life and continues to this day. His latest works centered on recreating the beauty that he sees in the fish and of the days remembered pursuing them. He often starts with a picture and creates a pattern and subsequent woodcarving with various degrees of detail. Often each scale is carved or burned into the wood to capture those intricate details. When painting, each scale is hand painted with several applications of media. He develops color with multiple coats of various paints, pastels and powders, using both airbrush and artist brushes. Starting with a base layer often airbrushed on, followed by pastels and powdered paint, he creates an accurate and long lasting piece of art. He can turn your favorite catch into an amazing, realistic wood carving.

Candles

THE BLUE TREE FROG CO.

Sunshyne Hummel, the owner of The Blue Tree Frog Co, began making candles in 2018. After the birth of her daughter, she became concerned with the alarming amount of toxic chemicals we are exposed to every day cleaning products, cosmetics and even scented candles. The limited “clean” alternatives in stores sparked her desire to begin making products at home. As she shared these with friends and family much positive feedback was received and The Blue Tree Frog Co was born. She became most passionate about candle making and creating a product that uses only the highest quality ingredients. Sunshyne’s candles are hand-poured in Berks County and only contain 100% natural soy and beeswax. Her love for chemistry and appreciation for art continues to fuel her passion. She takes pride in the craftsmanship that goes into making a quality natural candle. Complimenting her candles, Sunshyne offers other products inspired by nature that will be sure to please.

IRONWOOD FORGE

Tracy is a self-taught blacksmith artist who creates art from recycled materials. He uses, repurposes, or upcycles discarded material, old rusty tools and unique pieces of metal, then gives them a new life. He uses a forge, anvil, hand tools and where needed a welder. Just like in nature these creations are unique and no two are identical. His recent creations are stamped with a Celtic ruin meaning “Joy”. He hopes these unique creations bring “Joy” to you as much as they do to him.

Wool

SKEINES

A few years ago, Angela Krick knit her husband a hat and everywhere he wore it, people would ask him about it and where he bought it. A coworker requested a hat so Angela gifted him one and he also reported that wherever he went, people wanted to know about the hat. That is when Anglea and her husband, Chuck, realized that people were attracted to the color because it is not something they can find in retail stores. They started Skeines making hats in 2018. They source undyed yarn from suppliers that can certify that the animals and the environment are treated with respect during the wool growing process. The yarn is dyed by one of several methods in their shop, then dried and wound on to cones. Of course, wool is a renewable resource because after their once a year shearing, sheep return to the field to grow more wool. Their product line has expanded, but all of their products still offer unique combinations of color that you will not find anywhere else.
